Some of you might remember that I asked a couple months ago if you’d be interested in me posting some videos about business, fitness, inspiration, and life stuff, and a lot of you said yes. I’m finally doing it, and the first subject I want to talk about is really relevant, because it’s about not waiting until things are perfect.
I spent the last couple of months thinking about this. I even recorded a few videos with my makeup done, and I hated them. I was trying to make everything perfect, and it was stupid. I should’ve just grabbed my phone, took a quick video just like I’m doing now, and not overthought it.
Now that I’m back from Tanzania, I have a such a new grasp on perspective. I’m going to do Monday videos every week! Because, you know what? I don’t perfect. I don’t have any makeup on. My hair is natural and crazy. The lighting in here is weird. And I don’t care. I know that I want to do something, and I have a good message.
If you’re waiting on starting a business, doing a project, taking a trip, or anything, do it! It doesn’t have to be perfect. Good enough is good enough. You’ll know the things that you can improve on going forward. You see, it is a learning process for everyone, especially if your venture involves starting your own business. There will be things that you’re good at, and things you may need to get outsourced help with. For example, many business owners enlist the help of a financial establishment like Early Growth (look at this information here) when it comes to the money side of things. Looking at the financial services on offer at banks is likely when of the first things you’ll consider doing as a budding entrepreneur. You could try this to see the sorts of options available to you. Some people just don’t have experience in this area, and that’s ok. Employing people that do is all part of the process. If it doesn’t work as well as you’d want it to, maybe you can figure out why and make it better next time.
Don’t be afraid to fail. Fail gloriously. In every failure, there’s a lesson. In every mistake, you can find the opportunity to pick yourself up. Don’t wait until it’s perfect! Do it! Post that video. Start that business. Finish that book.
If you have any topics that you would like me to talk about, let me know in the comments or email me at [email protected] and I’ll add it to my list.
Have an awesome week and kick some ass!
