I think by now we all know how much I love food. And as someone who is completely dedicated to their fitness, I work really hard to make sure that the food I eat isn’t just good for me, but enjoyable too. Enter Butcher Box. A meat delivery subscription box that promised if I signed up I’d get free bacon. So I obviously signed up because hellooooo FREE BACON.
- 100% grass-fed & Grass-finished beef
- Heritage Breed pork
- Free-range Organic chicken
There are 2 box sizes to choose from and you can get whatever combo of beef, chicken & pork that you like. For our first box we got size XL and beef/chicken because we rarely eat pork. Being that we are both fitness people, my husband and I consume a good amount of protein. We did the math and the XL box is pretty close to what we spend each month on lower quality meat at the grocery store. Our second box we added on bacon because it was literally the best bacon I’ve ever tasted.
When the box arrived it was packed pretty well in dry ice and this cute tote. We split the meat between our fridge, freezer and deep freezer then proceeded to thaw as needed.
The meat is delicious. I’m no stranger to great quality steak but what surprised me the most was the chicken breast. It just tasted so much better than any chicken I’ve ever had, even the organic stuff from the store. It was also pretty convenient to have my meat for the month and nice to have each week’s grocery bill considerably lower.
I’ve tried a LOT of subscription services, many of the food variety and this is by far my favorite one. If you’re interested in giving Butcher Box a shot, use the link below and not only will you get free bacon (FREE BACON THIS IS NOT A DRILL) but you will also get $10 off your first box. Big win if you ask me!
